Originally from Colombia and raised in sunny Florida, Dr. Arbelaez’s love for medicine began during her time at the University of Florida. Inspired by her passion for research, she always knew she wanted to help people through medicine.
She earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed her OB/GYN residency at St. Peter’s University Hospital/Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson in New Jersey. During her training, she was awarded the academic chief resident position, staying updated with the latest medical guidelines to provide the best care for her patients.
She is passionate about women’s health and believes in empowering her patients with knowledge. Dr. Arbelaez guides her patients toward making thoughtful decisions about their health and supports them every step of the way.
Outside of work, Dr. Arbelaez enjoys spending time with her family including their little boy and a big, lovable Great Pyrenees dog. Camping and hiking are their favorite activities to do together, creating wonderful memories outdoors.
Traveling is Dr. Arbelaez’s hobby, and she loves learning about different cultures and trying new foods. Lately, she’s been working on her green thumb, growing vegetables in her backyard garden.

Received her Master Degree in Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner as well as her post master certification in Women’s Health from the University of Utah. Monica Cook is certified by the NPWH National Association. She has been practicing for more than 6 years with assisting patients with their health care needs including Obstetrics, Gynecology & Primary Health Care. She has recently relocated to the Central Coast from Utah
Lisa lives in Grover Beach with her four-legged family members. On her days off you can find Lisa at the local nursery or book store or riding around town on her scooter. She also is an avid traveler and hopes international missionary work to her traver adventures
Maria Flores-Cooper, M.D., received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Facultad de Medicina Universidad Mayor de San Simon, Bolivia, and graduated medical residency from St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Center in Youngstown, Ohio. Dr. Flores-Cooper is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Flores-Cooper has practiced on the Central Coast for more than 7 years.
Received her Master of Nursing Science-Family Nurse Practitioner from Long Beach State University. Her professional affiliations and certifications include: the California Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nursing Association, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
