School entry physicals are wellness checkups for kids entering local schools. San Luis Obispo & Santa Barbara County schools require proof of these health exams for your children.
For most districts, parents must provide a completed health assessment 18 months before or up to 90 days after enrolling in first grade.
Health exams are required before a student can participate in sports and other activities.
The districts also require proof of vaccinations for all students. some will require this even before your child can be registered.
CHC pediatrician offices become very busy in August, so we invite you to make your appointment for school health checks, sports physicals, and vaccinations ahead of time.
